You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter.
- say why he/she would not enjoy going to college – Already post graduate degree, expensive study
- explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her – you need experience now, get practical experience, high wages job in your field.
Dear Sam,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I’m sorry I haven’t written for so long. My work keeps me so busy, that I never have a minute to myself. I’m writing this letter to advise you regarding either choosing a job or doing further study at university. I would like you to prefer to grab a white-collar job instead of going to further study. Let me explain to you why.
Let me elaborate, to commence with, as you know you already completed your post-graduation from Oxford University and now you have a computer science degree with high grades. I personally think that this level of education is quite sufficient to grab decent wages paid jobs in the IT field. Additionally, to enhance the knowledge of computer science you should consider getting practical experience in this area.
There are plenty of job vacancies are available in the software development area. Since you have a higher education degree with you. I would suggest you apply for the project manager, Team leader, and senior software engineer job positions. I’m quite sure you would get a job soon.
Take care and feel free to contact me if you are seeking for more information.
With best wishes,
Deepak
