You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to bring to your notice one of the adverse conditions I had faced during my stay in your hotel. Last weekend the weather condition was not so good in that area. It was raining continuously, owing to which the whole area was flooded with water and the temperature had drastically gone down to around 15 Degrees. While making the booking, the description listed facilities such as air conditoner, water heater, room heater and many other facilities.
The maintain the temperature when I looked around for the room heater, to my surprise it was not working. Moreover, I tried contacting the receptionist but there was no one to assist atn that time for the whole night. This aggravated my situation further. As a consequence of which I had to keep rubbing my palms to produce necessary heat within me, but It was very difficult for me to cop up with the hazardous situation. There was only one blanket which I used to cover my body for the rest of the night. I was truly grateful to God for not falling sick the next morning and immediately decided to checkout after the rain stopped.
I would like to request you to please take a strict action against the missing facilities that were promised but not provided. I would also like to request you to take necessary steps against all those who were missing from the reception. It would be good if you assign higher responsibilities on the shoulders of the reception manager who is responsible for supplying all the help during such a bad weather. I hope to see better facilities for the guests at all time in your hospitality next time.
Yours truly,
Poonam
