You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
• give details of what went wrong
• explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
• say what action you would like the manager to take
Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I stayed in Victory hotel which is located in California to weeks ago. As its summer and I expected the sunny weather, suddenly cold and foggy climate take placed and unfortunately the heating system was not sufficient.
Let me explain you in details. In second midnight since the weather was bitterly cold, I decided to turn on the cooling machine and switch it to heat service. it had a remote control with a scratched button to change its mode. Therefore, I was not able to change the cooling mode to heat mode. After hard-working to access the onboard console it seems that the switch button did not act correctly.
Despite of this, I called the hotel stuffs to aware them about this problem and to request them to fix it. However, sadly the technician who fix these kind of problem was in a trip. So they send me blankets and a tiny heater to endure that night.
To conclude, I was wondering as you absolutely read the customers laws in your broacher, it will be your politeness to return 10% of whole accommodation price back to me. I am accessible from the address provided. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Your Faithfully,
Chi Chung
