You recently stayed in a hotel in a large city. The weather was very unusual for the time of year and the heating / cooling system in the hotel was quite inadequate.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
give details of what went wrong
explain what you had to do to overcome the problem at the time
say what action you would like the manager to take
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I have traveled to Tehran and I have stayed at Bonita hotel from 10th to 14 September. As it is summer time there and I had checked the weather forecast, which revealed the weather is sunny during those days, unfortunately, the it was pouring and my room in hotel was bitterly cold. In addition, my room’s heating system was not sufficient.
Let me explain you in details. In second day, when the climate suddenly changed from sunny day to rainy day, since I did not bring with myself warm clothes, I decided to turn on the heater. it was evident from the first moment the warmer equipment does not work well because just one of the triple line of heater had turned on.
Furthermore, after I asked from your staffs to check it, with two hours delay they came and told me it took a few days to replace old one. Thus, it was bitterly cold, I had to buy some warm clothes which cost 800 $. Beside that, I even bought a blanket to keep me warm because your hotel had not predict any warm blanket for cold days. However, I got awful flue that made me to take some days off from work.
I was wondering that it is be a good compensation if you return 10 % of whole cost of reservation and a letter which apologize for bringing me such bad moments in my stay time. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Faithfully,
Chi Chung
