Hope you are in the pink of your health. I assume that your 25th birthday bash was rocking and full of fun and frolic.
I sincerely apologise for not being at the party. I am sure you might be wondering the reason for my absence from the day. The evening when I was about to leave for your place, my mother slipped from the stairs and twisted here ankle.
Considering the situation, we immediately rushed to the orthopaedic. Thankfully, she was diagnosed with a sprain and was later hospitalised to check for internal injuries if any. Since my father was overseas for business work I had to be with my mother for two days.
I understand that you might be annoyed with me because of the un-informed absence. To make this up, I have planned a badminton game followed by a lunch and a long drive during this weekend. I will pick you up from your place at 10 in the morning. I am excited to hear everything about the celebration.
