You live in an English speaking country and you want to do some voluntary, unpaid work in a developing country. Write a letter to a company called Cultural Expeditions, which organizes such trips. In your letter:
• Explain why you want to do the voluntary work.
• State what your skills and experience are.
• Indicate where you would like to volunteer and for how long.
Dear Sir,
This letter is with regards to the invitation for applications required for voluntary work as mentioned in your weekly. I am interested in volunteering for teaching English language in developing nations, henceforth, I am sharing relevant details, which might be of help in locating relevant assignment.
As you might be aware of the fact that, summer vacations are approaching, as a result I will be free for a couple of months. Additionally, I believe that education is a fundamental right, moreover, I am passionate about teaching. During weekends I dedicate myself for teaching at the orphanage, not just English but other subjects as well for elementary classes.
I hold master’s degree in English from North Carolina University and have eight years of experience, schooling primary classes at the City Central School. Besides this, I have been enthusiastic regarding the voluntary work since my college days and have actively participated in the same.
I would prefer taking up charity work in India, also I will be available from May up till July. If in case, the nation of choice is not possible I am open to other options as well.
Looking forward for your response.
Your’s Faithfully,
Alex Jhonson
