Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter 1-give details of how you and your friend or family use the center 2-explain why the center is important for the local community 3-describe the possible effects on local people if the center closes
Dear Mr. Chris,
I am writing a letter to convey my disappointment about your attention to close the sports and leisure center due to budget constraints which are on the north side of the community.
I would like to put into your consideration that we, as well as, the rest of the family members in the community are using the above-mentioned center in order to rewind stress from a hectic routine of the day. This center provides a plethora of recreational activities including jogging tracks, video games, and badminton both for kids and families to spend their leisure time within the gated community. Therefore, I presume that this center is important for community members to spend healthy lives and get together to build a strong relationship. Besides, it will increase the property value of the community because people give preference to live in a place where recreational facilities would be available for residence.
Moreover, I have a doubt that the closure of the leisure center will create a negative impact on the local people who leads to negativity among residences as they won’t be able to share their grievances with each other. In addition, there are chances that people will look for another option to move out of the community because of the non-availability of recreational activities within the community.
I hope the information above would be helpful to revert your final decision, so we can enjoy the facilities, provided by the community’s management.
Best Regards,
Matt
