Your mentor recommended you to learn a new language & gave you contact details of a teacher. Following his advice, you need to write a letter to the teacher. In your letter say:-

- what is your motivation to learn a new language

- how can the teacher help you

- when will you be ready to start

Dear mam

A warm greetings to you. I have received your contact details from my friend Mike, who was your student at St. Joseph school. I wish to learn French, as I am immigrating to France in the end of this year.

I had searched for teachers who can help me to learn French but I was not able to find and when I talked with Mike, he gave me your details. He told me that your way of teaching is incredibly fabulous because you always encourage your students, even if they are not able to perform well. Learning a new language can be a difficult task but if I learn from you then definitely I will be able to perform good and clear the language exam which is required as eligibility criteria. I can start up the classes from the next week.

Hope you consider me as your student.

Regards

Bill
