Your neighbors have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house/ flat.
Write a letter to your neighbors. In your letter
• explain the reasons for the noise
• apologize
• describe what action you will take
Dear James,
I was really shocked on receiving a complaint letter regarding the noise made in our house at night and which is being problematic to you. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by us; moreover, we do not have any idea that this noise is disturbing surrounding tenants.
As you know that, we moved to this flat recently and renovation is still pending. Moreover, by the sounds being heard you may guess that those are caused by banging hammer on walls. Since we go to office in the morning and reach home at evening, we insisted carpenters to do wood work I late hours. The kitchen work is in-progress; most probably, the patch work is going to complete in next two days.
Further, I expedite not to cause disturbance at night times. Besides that, if there are any pending activities we will plan that to be done in morning time. We will plan accordingly not to procrastinate work and finish it soon.
Since we are oblivious of this, I am very sorry to have caused these problems and exasperating you.
Thanking you,
John.
