Humans have employed and exploited animals since ancient times as this helps satisfy their own needs. Today, all scientific and medical research is first performed on animals and if successful, then it is used to help cure diseases in humans. In my opinion using animals to satisfy our own needs is acceptable to some extent as it is impossible not to do so. However, overexploiting animals for our own good should be avoided as much as possible.
