The bar chart below describes some changes about the percentage of people were born in Australia and who were born outside Australia living in urban, rural and town between 1995 and 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

In 1995 60% of people born outside of Australia lived in cities, 40% lived in rural areas while only about 10% lived in towns. For people born in Australia, however, city-live was not as common. Only 50% of them lived in cities, while the percentage of people living in smaller towns was higher at 20%. People born in Australia were less likely to live in rural areas than people born in other parts of the world.

By 2010 the situation had clearly changed both for people born in Australia and in the rest of the world. The number of people living in cities had sky-rocketed. For people born in Australia it increased to a little over 60% and for people with origins outside of Australia to 80%. At the same time living in smaler towns and rural areas became less common. About 10% of people of both groups lived in towns. The difference between people born in Australia and elsewhere becomes clear, however, when you look at the number of people living in rural areas. Approximately 15% of people with Australian roots, still live in rural areas. Meanwhile, for people with origins outside of Australia this number has dropped to less than 10%. This is an interesting change to 1995, when people born outside of Australia were more likely to live in rural areas, than people with origins in Australia.
