Modern forms of communication such as email and messaging have reduced the amount of time people spend seeing their friends. This has had a negative effect on their social lives.To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There is no doubt that new ways of connection between people such as email and messaging cut down a mass of time, so that a number of people spend less time meeting their friends. Nevertheless, it is not only affecting the bad side of their social intercourse.
In the past, if people had a demand to communicate with their friends, they had to write a letter and send it by the post office or by phone. Besides, their busy life has led to that they can only meet each other once a month, or less. As a result their connection has been cut after a long time without communication.
In today’s modern world, after new kinds of contact such as email, messaging and video calls have been made, it has changed our life in a positive way. People can call their friends even when they are doing homework, cleaning or even cooking, thanks to the new invention. As a consequence, our social communication has improved. What's more is you can send an email to your boss about the report, which is not only about the convenience but also it is professional.
As a matter of fact, people feel it is hard to connect with their friends because they are a type of people that want to communicate face-to-face, so we should not say that new inventions of connecting between people bring only negative effects.
On the whole, I think that email or messaging has changed our life in a better way, but it is still hard to say that these inventions do not have the disadvantages.
