More and more people are relying on their private cars as a major means of transportation. Describe some of the problems over reliance on cars can cause and suggest at least one possible solution.
A few decades ago, cars constituted a luxury item for the wealth however, in these days, private transport have become the predominant mean of transportation. In this essay, I will elaborate on adverse repercussions and propose plausible measures.
To start with, it is sufficiently apparent that the upsurging numbers of individual-owned means of conveyance will cause a variety of negative implications. Firstly, the most discernible problems is increasing likelihood of traffic jams. To illustrate, in the same avenue, if there are only dozens of cars, the traffic system can operate smoothly, nonetheless if that number is multiplied by three or four time, gridlock is virtually inevitable. This issue also follows by such corollary as prolonged travelling time. For instances, in Hanoi, if people commute in rush hour, when traffic jam is par for the course, it will probably take them greater amount of time to reach the final destination. The second issues of precipitous rise in home-possessed vehicles relevant to global warming. Nowadays, the source of energy for engine operation is fossil fuel and oil, which can emit tons of carbon dioxide, the main culprits behind the rise in average temperature, via burning process. It is estimated that a single passenger vehicle release 4. 6 metric tons of gases, consequently, the cumulative amount of gases from millions of van worldwide will be extremely colossal.
However, there are numerous ways that each individual and government can contribute to alleviating the problems. Concerning the first mentioned issue, it can be tackled by encouraging inhabitants to substitute private cars for public counterparts through establishing special lane for busses. Moreover, using electric vehicles is an appropriate movement to address the second problems as they can perform as greatly as the conventional oil-based one with neutral carbon footprint.
In conclusion, the increasing numbers of private cars will result in unwarranted effect, which can be resolved by possible solutions with the joining hand of government and citizens,
