Some people think giving gifts and presents is significant to reflect your affection towards near and dear ones. Others, however, consider this is not the best way of showing your love. I, personally, feel that staying with them in rainy days is much better option to exhibit your care and attention.
On the one hand, no one can deny that gifts are and will remain token of love. In modern days, it has become a trend to give presents to their family and friends. As they want to demonstrate their love and care towards them. For example, gifting a present on special occasion such as birthday party, marriage party, at the time of promotion, starting a new business, standing first in schools and colleges is considered auspicious. People feel excited and elated to exchange gifts to one another. Moreover, a gift to a wife by her husband is invaluable and priceless. This gift always reminds her about her life partner and the fond memories associated with them. Also, gifts and presents help to build up strong and healthy relations between the giver and the taker.
On the other hand, the litmus test of true love and care is when someone is in trouble. Giving gifts on some occasion might be good but the best way to express your feeling is to stand by them through thick and thin. To prove my point, a father or a mother plays significant and massive role for their children. But, if they are unable to spend quality time with their children, no gifts can bridge the gap between them. What is more, if your known are seriously ill or hospitalized or facing some financial problem and you have no spare time to ask them how they are, all your presents are meaningless, useless and hollow. It is high time to think that no precious item or items can replace your physical, moral, financial and social support to them at crucial time.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that presents and gifts could realize someone’s positive feeling, but the real check to depict how careful and loving you are, is your compassion and physical availability.
