Essay topics:

Some people think that we should invent a new language for
international communication. Do the benefits of this outweigh the problems?

Granted, some people would argue that due to the tendency of the world to move towards the globalization era, it is necessary for humankind to create a joint language catering to international communication. This idea, according to this theory, is supposed to produce various beneficial results. Take, for example, internationally accepted certificates such as the IELTS or TOEIC certificates are often required by universities in the west for students from non-native English-speaking countries. However, these students would stand a higher chance of gaining scholarships and studying abroad if there was a language for international communication. Another benefit of this is also seen in the fact that businesses and brands are able to collaborate with those in other nations as they no longer have translators represent their plans or strategies, enhancing the accuracy of commercial contracts.

Despite some positives mentioned above, the invention of a new linguistic system may encounter difficulties halfway through since it takes ages and a great effort to do so. Such production may entail a number of competent scientists from different countries to work out a new language system that can be widely applied irrespective of culture and accent diversity. Moreover, it would take a long time before this language is completely reached and used by each citizen. Additionally, some languages such as English or Arabic have been commonly agreed as international languages given that millions of people speak them around the world. This very fact has rendered such inventions unnecessary, nay nigh on impossible.
