In many countries, the tradition of families having meals together is disappearing. Why is this happening? What will be the effects of it on the family and society?

There are many of cultures in a family which has been forwarded from generation to generation and acts as a source of keeping the families intact such as that of having meals. But unfortunately, it is a matter of grave concern that now-a-days, this culture has started to slowly diminish from our society. A couple of factors are responsible to eliminate it from our family lives.

First of all, people are so busy at their workplace that they are unable to give time to their dear ones. They are always under pressure to meet their deadlines in order to earn a better livelihood. Consequently, this attitude prevents them away from having meals together. Secondly, especially the young generation, have the aggression of being social at all times and spends their spare time mostly with their friends which makes them skip their precious moments with their families. Furthermore, people have become obsessed with technology such as mobiles and internet so much that they prefer mostly to be on gadgets rather than having meals with their loved ones.

This wiping out of tradition from our society has a very crucial and detrimental impact on our lives. People tend to become far away from their immediate relationships by giving preference to other tasks. The cause of this worst condition is realized by many when they cross a certain age limit but it would be too late to bring back these moments.

To conclude, in spite of all the daily chores, people should have at least one meal a day together in order to gather under a roof and cherish their precious moments with their families and keep this tradition alive.
