Should old people live with the family or separately with same aged people Discuss both the views

Essay topics:

Should old people live with the family or separately with same-aged people? Discuss both the views.

It is argued among the masses whether senior citizens should spend their last phase of life with their near and dear ones or with their peers of the same age. The majority of elderly people support the approach of living their retired life with their family members only and reasons for the same are illustrated below with strong examples.
On the one hand, indeed the old age period is as vulnerable as childhood which requires the same amount of care to look after them. Therefore, they believe that by living together with their grandchildren and children, they able to get an abundant load of love and attention that gives them warm and secure feelings. Hence, this emotional attachment devotes them more happiness which makes them far away from mentally stressed disease. For example, one of the surveys in psychology article reveals that after retirement, people who accommodated in a joint family are found much happier than the one who lives with their peers.
On the other hand, many aged people want to enjoy their freedom and like to spend the same period with the people of their age at their fad age. As they had spent their majority of the aging period in socializing and professional life, they not able to enjoy their privacy of life. Hence, they preferred to live with peers at their last stage of life. For instance, it was published in times that in metro-cities seventy percent of retired persons choose to live in old aged houses with the same age people rather than giving preference to their families.
In conclusion, I believe that old aged people should be given more love and sympathy the same as children. By living together with their inheritor they can not only relish their last phase of life but also earned enough attention.
