Some people from poor and rural backgrounds find it difficult to get a university education Universities have to make it easier especially for such groups to get into them To what extent do you agree or disagree

Owning to the fact that some people from poor and rural areas find it hard to get a university education, universities should make it simple for them to gain admission. However, I partially agree and disagree tetiary institutions should make getting into them stress-free.

On the one hand, when the process of getting into the university is simplified for individuals from poor backgrounds, it will enable them produce men and women who can bring a bright future to the region. The free education agenda that took place in Imo State from 2011 to 2019 helped the lower class, and it has produced great personalities like George Frank. Similarly, the scholarship granted by some tetiary institutions has raised some good names from rural areas. Clearly, if universities make admission easy for the poor and rural communities, then it will help them raise some future leaders.

On the other hand, other groups of people believe it is impartial to make admission into universities easier for some individuals. The reason is that these individuals feel cheated, and they think the best thing to do is for everyone to have equal chances to getting into tetiary institutions. In Unizik, for instance, there was a protest by the students back in 2006, and they demanded that the low-class, middle-class, and high-class should be treated equally regarding admission into the school. Therefore, admitting some group of people easily, and giving them preferential treatment s will make other feel left-out.

In conclusion, this essay discussed how making admission easy for the poor will raise future commanders from that area, but will make other group of people feel they are not being carried along. In other words, this is the extent to which I partially agree and disagree on the matter.
