Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Movies are worth watching only when they teach
something about real life.
In recent years, the film industry and filmmaking have increased, and we
have started to ask what kind of movies are worth watching according to
many movies that exist. In today's hectic lifestyle, everything is more
accelerated than past; as a result, people need entertainment.
Personally, I disagree with the statement. I feel this way for two reasons,
.which I will explore in the following statement
First, modern life brings a lot of stress. People can watch movies to
distract their thoughts from the real-life and reduce stress. Thus,
watching a movie only for learning new things is boring; people need joy.
My own experience is during lockdown because of the covid I watched
''Friends'' and decreased my stress and set my mind free. Now I am
thinking about it, and I had a good time when I was watching a sitcom.
During that time, I mean the lockdown, my leisure activity was only
watching comedy movies and tv shows, and I relaxed after a long day. If
I took it seriously and started to watch only for learning things from real
?life, how could I survive
Second, all movies can teach new things, but it is not about real-life but
about imagination. Most of the famous and sold-out movies are science
fiction movies. They hit the box office every time they are released. The
main reason is the get people a chance to lead unbelievable life for
approximately two hours. For example, recently, I watched Dune, which
is about the imagined society set 20000 years in the future. While I was
watching the movie, I imagined what would happen if I was born in
?20000 later
In conclusion, I disagree entirely with the above statement. All of the
movies are worth watching for entertainment. People not only watch
movies to learn some things about the real-life, but they can also watch
.comedy to relax and science-fiction to allow us to think differently
- Some people choose friends who have the similar characters like themselves Others choose friends who are totally different to themselves Compare the advantages of having friends who are different from you with the advantages of having friends who are simi 60
- Humans have long been fascinated by elephants the largest land animal in the modern world Social animals that live in herds elephants are native to both Africa and Asia Their large ears long trunk and long life span have made elephants one of the most cap 81
- Scientists are considering the possibility of sending humans to Mars in the coming decades Although there have been successful manned missions to the Moon in the 1960s and 1970s Mars is 150 times further away from Earth than the Moon is Thus the project o 3
- Do you agree or disagree with the following statement In twenty years there will be fewer cars in use than there are today 60
- Summarize the points made in the lecture being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passage Because of climate change more and more land that was once used to grow crops or provide food for animals is turning to dry u 78
