The reading amd lecture talk about thoeries which mayb lead to extinction of some living organism in the Triassic period. The author believes that this extiniction explained by three theories. The lecturer cases doubts on claim which is made by author. she disagree with these theories.
First, the author stats that there is decrese in the level of sea which in this period which lead to change in habitats for ocean species, she said these organisms are destroyed and this leading to effect on food and causes large extinction. The lecturer challenged this point. She said that this change in the level of water dose not occur in shot time, it needs amany years, so the species can be adapted to this change.
Second, the auther says that there is amassive decrease in temprecture in the end of theTriassic period due to volcanoes which cause acoold clamite that leads to this extiniction. The lecturer rebutted on this argument. She claims that there is alot of (so2) in the atomospher which comound with water and form run so decrese amountb of (so2) in the atomospher so these avery little range of decrease in tempreture.
Finaly, the author says that when asteoid hit the earth remove a large amount of soil and these block the sun light therfore a lot of plants and animals die. The lecturer on the other hand suggested that ,that these asteriod hit earth before thousand years. Furthermore there is no evidance about presence of volcanoes.

Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:
para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.
So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:
reasons == advantages or
reasons == disadvantages
for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
