Aquamarine agriculture

Essay topics:

Aquamarine agriculture

The article introduces the idea of aquamarine agriculture. The writer of the article focuses on the negative impacts of it, while the lecturer states that aquamarine agriculture would be a beneficial plan for the future.
Firstly, the writer of the article states that people are unaware of the location of minerals in the ocean so in order to find those minerals, large segments of ocean floors will be exploited. As a result, the sea life will be negatively impacted. However, the lecturer claims that exploiting large portions of ocean floor would not be necessary since testing small samples from different parts of the ocean will help to locate the necessary resources for aquamarine agriculture. Hence, in pursuit of searching for minerals sea lives will not be impacted.
Secondly, the writer claims that this form of agriculture will drive up sand and dust significantly, consequently the water will be polluted. Furthermore, toxic waste products will spread to different parts of the ocean and majority of the inhabitants of those areas will be affected. On the other hand, the lecturer asserts that oceans are vast and have areas similar to deserts, which are empty or sparsely populated. Additionally, in those areas waste products will not move farther, hence organisms living in seas will not be negatively affected.
Lastly, the writer feels that aquamarine agriculture will have the same fate as agriculture of land. Fish will be grown in a restricted space and this will result in a large amount of waste in a small space. Subsequently, the surrounding ecosystem will be adversely affected. In contrast, the lecturer said that fish will be grown in large areas so the waste will not accumulate, rather it will move to different areas without affecting the ecosystem.
