birds population decreasing in urban eras

Essay topics:

birds' population decreasing in urban eras

Both the lecturer and the passage discuss birds' population decreasing in urban eras. The author of the passage represents three reasons that he believes have a great effect on birds' population decreasing. On the contrary, the lecturer contradicts various viewpoints mentioned in the passage based on three reasons.

To begin with, the author of the passage cast doubt on the idea that with widespread human settlements and urban areas birds' natural habitats are destroyed. On the other hand, the professor believes that may be seen this way at first glance. even though some species of birds are affected negatively by human city buildings, urban areas become more suitable places for various species like seabirds for living and engendering.

In addition, the passage asserts that increases in agricultural activities could affect bird populations in a negative way. However, the lecturer believes that this reason is not proportional to the time in which we talk now. She mentions that agricultural activities becoming less and less in these decades because of new crops which have been genetically revised to produce more products in little areas.

In the end, the author of the passage brings out the idea that using chemical pesticides contaminates the food chain of birds, and increases the risk of extinction of some bird populations. On the contrary, the professor draws attention to the point that she has explained in her previous talks about genetically revised crops which do not need any harmful pesticides. Furthermore, new and much less toxic pesticides have been developed, which do not harmful to fauna.
