Chaco buildings were residential
The passage provided three theory, in which the probable primary usage of Chaco Building has been explained. The professor at the lecture provided some reasons which cast doubt on all of the mentioned theory in the reading. The summary of points in the lecture has been provided as follow.
First, the article suggested that these buildings were for residential purposes, however, at the lecture it is noticed that these building from outside were similar to an apartment building and not from inside. Inside of these building has a fewer flaming spot for cooking matters, therefore this hypothesis is rejected.
Second, the reading claimed that maybe these structures were used for food storage. But, the professor at his speech disagreed with this idea as the maize should find in the first story more.
Third, as the lecture said, the suggestion that these structures used as ceremonial centers was not true because the evidence of left pots and meal could be for the labors who worked there
