dinosarus are considered as endotherms or not
According to the reading, dinosarus are considered as endotherms for some major important reason as following; fossils founded in polar regions, the relation between leg position and endothermy, having specific structure of Haversian canals in their bones, however the lecturer finds all of ideas dubious and presents some evidence to refute them all.
First of all, the reading passage claims that discovering dinosarus fossils in polar regions can be a clue that they were endotherms but on the other side, the lecturer holds the view that polar regions in the far past years were warmer than that are today. Also, that might be because of dinosarus migrate or hibernation to the polar cites, so this claim can not be a correct proof.
Furthermore, the reading opines that endotherm animals have efficient legs in order to run and do activities in order to help them to be warm. In contrary, the lecturer dismisses this issue to the point that because of their excess weight and large size, they had high energy for running and moving and their legs should be underneath the body.
Finally, the passage brings up the idea that owning Haversian canals into the bone structure, as a characteristic point for endothermy, dinoserus are endotherm animals, but the lecturer states that rapid growth animals are not endotherm necessarily, although they have Haversian canals in their bone structure even in the cool environment.
To sum up, it is clear that the author and the lecturer will have trouble finding common ground on this issue.
