In controversy, the lecturer opines that reducing workweek leads to some disadvantages for the company as follows; the more new employees, the more time and cost is needed to train them, the more amount of space and also the more computers should be provided for them. So, as a whole, all of there will cut into the profit.
Secondly, decreasing unemployment rates in consider to employ more workload is declared in the reading. On the other side, the lecturer denies this claim. He rebuts this hypothesize and says that although there will be an increase in available jobs, but some companies may lead to an unpleasant situation by ascending their expectations from their employees to do the same amount of work.
Finally, the passage believes in more free time leading to the better life quality, but the lecturer is on the opposite site.
