The reading text and lecture are both about the how people are used the Chaco Canyon two to three stories building that found in the New Maxico. Lecturer is cast doubt on the author's view by placing his three arguments.
Firstly, The reading passage stats that, this buildings are used a residential purpose by people. Moreover he said that, this infrastructure are worked as a apartment for 100 peoples. However, the lecturer is argues that, If that building is able to accommodate hundreds of people, then there were be also a enough Fire placed for the cooking that 100 peoples. But evidence shows that, there only few fire places are present, which can support 10 families.
Secondly, The other theory of the author suggests that, buildings are used a storage for the food material and people of that era stored a maize grains over there. In other end, the lecturer is contradict that, there is a possibility of storage houses. But, Archeologist did not found various species of maize. not even the big container in which those people are stored this grain at time of excavation.
At the end, Writer of this passage argues that, this buildings are used as a ceremonial events. Additionally, He present the evidence of the archeological report, which showing that, excavators are found the pot and this pot are used in a events. In contrast, the lecturer stats that, excavators also found other material too like a building material material, construction tools, sand etc. So, this will indicate that this houses were places, in which peoples are used to through its used material and pot were the part of their used material.
