Do you agree or disagree with the following statement. Although science and technology will continue to improve, the most significant improvement for the quality of people's lives has already taken place.
Modern technology has quickly developed in current society, and people have more opportunity to learn new change on our community. To be more specific, the computer provides more function than past such as communication, e-learning for education and work at home. It improves the quality of people’s lives. However, the concept for this statement is unconvincing for me, and I disagree on this point with following refutations.
First of all, the technology has improved the communication of people’s life, but there is the several problem in communication. To be more specific, the mobile phone is the most significant improvement for communication quality. However, the isn’t suitable using for a long time. Take me as an example, the mobile phone’s which called pixel 4 only have 2700 mah battery is low battery capacity for me. When I go to Taipei from my company by car, I need drive car and use navigation of cell phone for long time periods. As a result, the cell phone has no power during the trip. I can’t use to contact for my girlfriend, and my girlfriend was worried about my safety. Thus, the technology needs to improve the communication issue.
Secondly, science becomes more advanced in daily education than past, but the quality of education has a lot of issues. For instance, the E-learning for advancing education is a lot of problem. When a student uses the system to learn, teacher can’t understand the feedback during the process for students. In addition, It needs students to use other time to improve the problem like reserve meeting with the professor. Apparently, advanced education can’t solve the issue and improve people’s quality.
Last but not least, the technology on people’s life improve the tooling of work, but tooling of work still brings more extremely complex question. For example, the company needs to solve problems on first time. The boss will use tooling like teamviewer software to take staff through video. The teamviewer let them interaction in online. However, it increases the workload for everyone. Peoples becomes busy with their work. Therefore, It might bring more issue and reduce the quality of life.
In conclusion, the science and technology is still continuing to improve, but I'm severely against this statement that the quality of people’s life have already taken place.
