ECO TOURISM
Both the audio and the passage, talks about the ecotourism and how it impacts on the economy, wild life and local people. On the one hand, the passage centers almost all of the attention on the benefits of it, and on the other hand the audio talk more about the bad impact of the ecotourism.
First, the passage told us that the ecotourism has almost no impact on the wild life as this brings benefits, there is an interest for preserving the area instead of building big structures that break with the atmosphere of the zone. On the other hand the audio says that even this lodges have a less impact on the area, they still need infrastructure to stay there and roads to go to the lodges. All of this things comes with air and water pollution. Also they need to have litter points which brings more contamination.
Secondly, the passage says that local people can find jobs on the lodges and tour companies being an active part of the tourism on their lands. But the audio told us that there is also people of other regions that want to work there so they will have a cultural contamination as in the past they were isolated but now there is people from other cultures that are staying there for a long time and also tourist getting there all the time.
Finally, the passage says that it can help to preserve the wild nature that lives there such as birds and vegetation. But also the audio comment that as there is a lot of people getting on the area and its being more and more known, there will be a lot of people interested to get the wild live on the black market so this will be very harmful for the region.
In conclusion, the audio and the passage agree that ecotourism has less impact on the zone.
