In the lecture the professor questions the reading’s assertion that there are three reasons that affect the Little Ice Age. In the lecture, the professor disproves the reasons one by one.

Firstly, the reading mentions that unexpected Little Ice Age produce the Gulf Stream. However, the professor suggests that Gulf Stream is only contributed by the cold weather in northern semisphere. And in that time, Little Ice Age is influence all around the world.

Second, the reading cites volcanic eruptions produced lots of surfur and dust that would block the sunlight and the low temperature leads to Little Ice Age. But the professor says that volcanic eruptions would effects more. phenomenons, such as grey snow. Unfortunately, there was no such phenomenons that were reported.

Lastly, the reading says that the decrease of human population causes the Little Ice Age. The professor rebuts this by saying that human’s agriculture would was not long enough to cause the Little Ice Age.
