professor disagrees with the passage that says traditional encyclopedias are better than the communal online ones

Essay topics:

professor disagrees with the passage that says traditional encyclopedias are better than the communal online ones.

The article introduces the topic of problems of online encyclopedias. More specifically the writer discusses the disadvantages of using an online encyclopedia and the benefits of a triditional one. The lecturer, however, disagrees with this statement. She believes that we can never have a perfect encyclopedia and these opinions are result of prejudice.

In the reading, the author begins by stating that in online version of encyclopedias people don't have the enough amount of academic knowledge and that makes their shared information inacurate. The professor however,,disagrees with this viewpoint, she believes that the triditional encyclopedias were never even close to accurate. She goes on to say that it is easier to correct online errors but in books mistakes stay fore a very long time.

The passage also claims that even if we accept the fact that the firt given information is correct, we can't deny the fact that the base of online encyclopedias lets hakers and vandals to butch the information. Again the teacher believes there are flaws in the arguement since these website has protected the crutial facts by two methods. First, these type of information is on read format only and can’t be changed. Secondly, editors monitor for any changes in the website.
another reason why the author believes in their point of view is that communal encyclopedias' focus is frequently on popular topics which causes a fals impression of whats really important .The professor in the listening passage is doubtful that this is accurate. He suggests that books have a limited space and the author should choose between facts that are considered more important. In communal version however, there’s no limitation of space and there’s a vast diversity of information that indivuals can reach.
