First, the writer says that self-driver cars much safer than car that driven by people. He believes that be using this car decrease the incidence of accidents. This point challenged by lecturer. He mentions that driverless car made by human being like as other types of technology, therefore it is very common to these cars to get in traffic accident.
Secondly, the author argues, using self-driving car will decrease pollution effect on environment, this mainly due to the fact that, these cars have sensor, as a result, the car will not need to stop then generate engine in the traffic. This argument refutes by professor. He suggests, self-driving car give opportunity to an one to use it inspite of his age or if having driver licene of not, therefore will increase nomer of cars in the street, moreover increase pollution of environment.
Finally, the reading passage mentions that autonomous cars will give passengers time to watch movies or doing anything they interested instead on focus on driving. The professor in the other hand contradicts this point, he claims that people always enjoy during driving, in addition they used to drive car to get relaxation, furthermore, people already watch TV in an other time during day, so watching movies in the car is just waste of time.
