Some exclusive features of elephants
The passage and the talk both discuss the some features of elephants. The writer contends that elephants have some exceptional features that other cratures do not possess. The lecturer, however, refutes the author's assessments. She demonstrates three reasons to cast doubt on the claims made in the reading.
The first allegation of the script against which the orator argues is that when elephants get old they will be aware of approaching their death. Therefore, they go to areas in adjacency of waters to die alone. In contrast, the professor highlights the fact that this is just a matter of speculation and is not true. She says that when elephants get old, their teeth wear away and they can not feed on vegetations they used to eat. As a result they abandon their habitats to find softer plants. She further asserts that these kind of vegetations usually can be found near waters, so elephants go to such places to graze.
Second, according to the text, elephants have artistic spirits and can paint some astounding painting, which is their exclusive feature among animals; although the speaker finds this idea debatable. She bolsters her opinion by stating that eras if elephants are very sensitive and by touching them people can make them to do particular actions. For example, humans use these attributes of them to instruct them how to move brush and paint some special things. Therefore, these abilities are tought them bu humans and are not some innate skills.
Lastly, the lecture contradicts this fallacy of the passage that elephants have a fear of mice, saying that elephants are unfamiliar with mice and it is an intrinsic demeanor among animals to avoid from strange things. For instance, elephants in the zoos do not show such a behavior because they used to mice and know that they are not a threat for them. Not being harmed by mice, elephants do not run away from them.
