The reading and listenig mainly discuss the merits and dimerits of working four days a week instead of 5 days for both employees and employers.
The passage asserts that with 4 days working the eployers will get 80% of their salary as a result of having more free time to spend for their oun life. The reading claims that it can be profitable for the company due to employ more people, consequently unemployement rate will reduce and also the workers costly errors will mitigate as a result of feeling more rested. In contrast, the lecture runs against the passage claim because it asserts that in this situation companies should spend more money to train ample workers. Also they need more office space and computers. According to the listening by reducing the work time from 5 days a week to 4 days, the compnaie will inhance their expectations of their employees to do same amount of work of 5 days working. Although the workers have more free time, they will loose the chance to enhance their work ability and promotions.
