The reading and the speaker discussing about the hydrogen based fuel engine but in very contrasts ways. The lecture refutes the all points made in the reading passage.
Firstly, reading passage says that hydrogen easily available in the environment, In water plenty of hydrogen available and from the atmosphere. Further oil resource are finite and limited, someday, we may be lacking oil. But the lecture refutes this point by saying that even though hydrogen is renewable source still, the process making liquid hydrogen from the water is complex, further it has to keep it in -253 degree temperature it is highly difficulty to make things in laboratory.
Secondly, reading passage states that it reduce the pollution and attract the people because it produces less carbon dioxide in the environment. Again, speaker contrasts this by explaining the purification process for liquid hydrogen which need lots of coal to burn that make make create the environment pollution due carbon dioxide releasing in the atmosphere.
Thirdly, reading passage argues that using this technique causes very less price for car when compare to the oil engines. Still, the professor opposes this point by stating that in order to run the hydrogen fuel engine then it should be made up of platinum and it is so costly, moreover, engine which made with cheaper material for the hydrogen engine not succeeded so far.
To sum up, professor contrasts all points made in reading passage like it can be environment friendly, economical and renewable resources by giving some logical evidence he refutes these points.
