TPO-12 - Integrated Writing Task Jane Austen (1775-1817) is one of the most famous of all English novelists, and today her novels are more popular than ever, with several recently adapted as Hollywood movies. But we do not have many records of what she lo

The lecture and the reading both discuss Jane Austen .While the reading states that Austen was a well-known English novelist and these novels recently uses by Hollywood movies and we do not any information about her face just one image made by her sister. The lecture refutes this, saying that evidence indicates that Austen not at all convincing and it is true that the painting connected to Austen's family but in this time she was a teenager.

First of all, the reading claims that Austen's family gave her portraits as representative and edition for all letters and they confirm these letters have written by Austen. However, the lecture argues that she died when she was 70 years old and her family never seen her portraits.

Second, the reading makes the arguments that a paint in the portrait is very similar to Cassandra's Sketch also according to the reading, Cassandra is of adult Austen because her mouth, nose, and face were very similar to the Austen. The lecture counters this point by stating Austen's family was very large and many cousins' female were teenagers and some of this teenager resemble 's Austen.

Lastly, the reading passage argues that in Austen's pains we cannot see any signs and dates of Austen but some evidence express that this paint belongs to the Ozias Humphrey because Humphrey was living in the same period of Austen. The lecture refutes this claim by pointing out that this paint alternative to the Humphrey because of only the style and according to the lecture in the back of picture has writing sorted by William mag and the girl in the portrait was very younger than Austen.
