Throughout history, professional career has played a prevailing role in every individual’s life. In this regard, there is a long standing discussion among academicians about which factor is more important in selection of a job; security or the salary. some people are the leading proponents of the claim that we should contemplate money as our first priority in selecting a job. However, I firmly believe that no one could underestimate the effect of security when we accept a career. In the following paragraphs, I will elaborate on my viewpoints through three noticeable reasons.
it is no secret that security is a priority in selection of a job which contributes to effeicient perfomance of an employer. when you know that the company could fire you whenever they do not need you anymore, you do not have the motivation for doing your responsibilities. this trend have adversely affected your performance as well as the company's profit. For example, you are a sales person at a company. you do not have enough motivation to put all of your effort for selling the company's production to customers. maybe you talk with them in an impolite way since you don't consider yourself as a member of the company. this way you do not enjoy your time at work , and maybe because of your behaviour the company loses some of his customers.
Psychologically speaking, after a certain time of working in a company you adapt to the environment of your workplace. you learn the rules that you should obey. you establish rapport with your co-workers. maybe you become close friends with each other. As a result, losing your job could undermine your self esteem which could lead to a variety of mental problems.
it goes without saying that you are never able to plan for your future since you do not know how long you could earn money. Although you receive a high salary, you experience a stressful situation in your life, and you are not financially stable which could result in failure in your life. A survey on effect of having security in individual's career has revealed that the possibility of success of a person could be increased up to 20% due to the precise plan they have for their future.
All aforementioned reasons lead us to the conclusion that career security has a profound effect on our life which guarantee our success. Also, it provides a platform for us to establish strong relationship in our workplace. Furthermore, authorities should put more emphasis on encouraging people to consider security as their first priority in choosing a job. If not, we will witness a genration of people who suffer from lack of feeling security.
