The lecture and reading are both about the theories of the stone ball using and meaning. The lecturer disagrees with concepts, which are mentions in the reading for the following reasons.
First of all, the trouble of using caved stones as weapons in hunting. The professor suggests that those stones did not use as weapons because if the people at that period used them on a surface. they would have sign-on stones as broke edges or crack. then, he mentions that there is no damages in those stones. As a result, those stones did not use as weapons, However, the reading disagrees with this idea.
Secondly, the trouble of using stones in weight and measures. The teacher asserts that stone did not use for this purpose because they have different weight. Those stones made from various types of stones, Quarter and rocks. If those things used for measurement, they should have the same weight and make from the same materials. On the other hand, The author says that those stones used to measure quantities of grain and food.
Finally, the problem of using carved stones for a social purpose. The teacher says that people did not use those stones for this purpose because they made with a simple pattern. they do not have value for the people. Moreover, If those stones had value for people, They would put them in tombs. thus, He mentions that there is no any stones buried with people when they died
