The writer takes the position that working four-day workweek for four-fifths of their normal pay would benefit the economy as well as employees and companies. By Contrast, the lecturer is strongly opposed to this idea, he believes that it will costs the company more money.
The lecturer casts doubt on the writer's position on the profit that the company will make. For instance she makes the point that companies will spend money on trainning and medical benefit, Furthermore they will have to create more office space and computers. According to the writer, however, he thinks that employees will rest and as consequence they will not make much errors and mistakes in their work.
In another instance, the lecturer argues that the writer is wrong to believe that this option will increase employment's rate and improve quality life. She give evidence of her opinion by showing that the company will expect that the employee will do the work of 5 days in 4 days which means that no additional will be create, in addition, their job will not be pleasant as before, which can reduce their quality of life, and harm their chances of an advancing career. In this regard, the writer believes that employees would have extra time to spend with their families, and enjoying their hobbies
