The pie charts indicate the proportion of male and female in 6 types of occupation, divided into groups manual and non-manual, in Britain in 1992. Overall, there was a major difference that female mostly working in non-manual, while most of male working in both manual and non-manual jobs.
To begin, it is clear that managerial and professional had the highest number of men working, at 36%, compared with 29% of women. In the other hand, the figure for men and women working in other manual was mostly the same, at 26% and 27% respectively. Similarly, only a few employee were general labourers.
Regarding from the charts, 31% of women chose to work in clerical or related. This figure was fivefold the percentage of men in this career. In contrast, only 3% of women working in craft or similar, while the figure for men was significantly higher, at 24%. Finally, there was a minor percentage of both genders preferred to work in other non-manual.
