The given two pie charts illustrate that the number of UK students who could speak foreign languages except for mother tongue in the percentage of scale over the ten year period.
In general, it is immediately clear that Spanish is the major proportion, namely second language in the UK whereas the number of student speaking German is almost unpopular.
To begin with, there was a 5 percent rise between 2000 and 2010, which is the use of Spanish which was commonly spoken a second language by British students at the university. Unfortunately, the percentage of German has no fluctuation in the research period and their percent is the lowest among 3 different languages. There was a 5 percent increase in two other languages from 10 to 15 percent in 2000 and 2010 respectively. When it comes to French, due to decrease 5 percent, it became 10 percent in 2010. The ratio of only spoken English is as same as German flow, remained their percent at 20.
