issue essay
Many people go against restoration of ancient artifacts. They think that restoration of aging art works, buildings, and artifacts should be avoided as any change in the original art work will help in losing its integrity. On the contrary, some of them believe that restoration should be done and old artifacts have to be presented to the audiences as the art works becomes more accessible. I agree with the latter group of the people and would like to refute the former group.
Firstly, I completely agree with restoring the old art works, artifacts and buildings as I believe in the saying "Old Is Gold". The old and ancient artifacts should be preserved in modern time. The old artifacts help us to learn the old culture and tradition. We should never forget about our ancient culture which our ancestors brought for us. Moreover, the original works teach us a number of things such as how were the buildings formed techniques and methodology, kind of material etc. With these things we can develop in many ways. We can implement those methods in our new life. In addition to this, restoration helps in knowing about our origination and development as well. Thus, very clearly, I completely agree with restoring the original works of arts.
Secondly, I think that today the world is of practicality. If the students are taught history with the evidences and display them the proofs, then this method will be most effective. This method will help in developing interest in the students and also creates enthusiasm.
However, as some people think that the restoration of old artifacts would help in losing its original integrity. I disagree with them because they might have a different motive behind this. Instead of preserving the old artifacts, they believe in selling them for huge amount of money. Therefore, I don’t agree with that group of people.
In conclusion, while there are arguments to be made on both the sides of the situation, I prefer going with the argument that restoration should not be avoided. By giving supporting reasons and examples, I have made my point clearly.
