To what extent is use of animals in scientific research acceptable?

In biomedical, using animal is widely used in every scientific research, like for cell cultures, testing medicines, and tissues studies. In UK, this is issues become so popular, where some people really don’t want this happen, even some of them oppose and make action “against the using of animal”. On this essay I prefer to agree with this, it is because using animal for the scientific research is needed.

In one hand, of course we agree that using animal to scientific research is a rude action. As a living creature, we have to respect each other.

On the other hand, do you know that using animals for scientific research have saved millions even billions animals and humans live? It’s because the cell of animals is the one which is reliable and eligible for some biomedical research. Shortly simple : for fusion cell technology, we only use the V cells from the rat to make a “retrovirus”, this retro can supply good DNA to banned cancer and other worst disease. Have you ever imagine the world without using this animal?

These are the examples; thousands people would kill by the polio virus; now, diabetic is the second of the main world worst disease after heart attack and without using animal for the research, insulin would not be produced, and people who have this disease must be killed slowly; there is no more kidney dialysis; furthermore, there must be billions pets would die because of Anthrax.

In my conclusion, the first impression about using animal for scientific research such as a violent thing. However, the researchers do this activity not only for rude the animal, but also for our future live. And for the researchers, maybe they should reduce the using of animal for non-essential used, like test the cosmetics.
