Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views
Many people suppose that university or college is the best way to prepare for their career path, whereas others believe working right after shcool is much better .While there are benefits to go for higher education, there are also good reasons to work after highschool.
On the one hand, there are some merits to continue the education program at higher level. Firstly, higher education can help young people lay a good foundation for the life ahead of them. Studying at university gives them countless oppotunities to build strong relationships, especially with professors or experts at university who are able to help students write a letter of recommendation to land a good job. Secondly, youngsters are capable of learning academic knowledge, which cannot be achieved if they choose to work right after highschool. This knowledge is useful for a quick progress in the future career. For example, if young people want to work as white-collar workers, they must study appropriate academic knowledge such as business management, human resources or marketing.
On the other hand, the idea that working straight after highschool is beneficial in some ways. It is a common knowledge that working straight after highschool instead of pursuing higher education can help youngsters collect practical working experiences. If they do not want to go for higher education, they can begin to seek a job as early as possible. As a result, they are likely to start their professional career sooner than their fellows . Moreover, young people can live independently on their own income without asking for financial support from their parents for the reason that they are able to earn money by themselves to meet basic human needs.
In conclusion, it seems evident that both going for higher education at university or college and working right after school are advantageous in their own ways.
