Writing test
Writing task 1 (a letter)
You are very disturbed by the noise coming from a restaurant opened nearby recently. Write a letter to the restaurant manager and say
– What problem do you experience?
– What should the management do about it?
– Describe what you will do if the problem is not resolved.
To,
The Manager,
Anmol Restaurant.
I am Divya Patel, Secretary of the AV Apartments located right next your restaurant. I am writing this letter to bring it into your notice that we hear a lot of noise coming out from your restaurant.
Loud music being played in the pub and people getting rowdy and creating nusance after drinking is a common site these days at your restaurant. And it gets really loud, when it’s expected to be quieter.
I would like to request you here to stop the sound post 23:00 hours and maybe install sound proof glasses wherever necessary. As you know it’s against the law to play loud music between 22:00 and 07:00. As well, would really appreciate if you could ask your clients to keep their voices to themselves, as they tend to get too loud after drinking.
I am expecting that you will consider my request and solve the issues within 1 week but in a case if you will fail in doing the same then I have to write a complaint letter to our local government body as well as our area's police station so they can take strict actions against you.
Hope to hear a positive reply from you.
Kind Regards,
Divya Patel
