The charts below show the results of a questionnaire that asked visitors to the Parkway Hotel how they rated the hotel's customer service. The same questionnaire was given to 100 guests in the years 2005 and 2010.
The pie charts present how different the visitors responded to the customer service at the Parkway Hotel between 2005 and 2010.
It is evident that customer satisfaction had improved throughout the research period. Guests, who rated satisfactory and poor, made up more than half of the chart in 2005 while in 2010 these people were replaced by the ones who described the hotel’s service as good and excellent.
In 2005, only 5% of the hotel visitors considered its service to be excellent and this number increased to 28% which was nearly six times bigger in 2010. In addition, the proportion of customers with a good view saw a dramatic growth of 25% over 5 years.
However, the percentage of clients who rated satisfactory declined with a rapid rate. While there were nine in twenty in 2005, these figures had fallen down to 17% in 2010. Similarity, the proportion of people who thought customer service was poor dropped from 21% to 12%. Finally, a sudden fall in the number of “very poor” ratings in 2010 reflected positive customer’s reactions to this service.
