tpo-32- Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they case doubt on specific points made in the reading passage.
The reading and the lecture both talk about a sound which it heard sometimes in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean called "quackers". The reading get three theories about what is the sound; however, the professor stats that all of them cannot be possible.
At first, they discuss about orca whales. The author claims that quackers were the sound of orca whales. The speaker, on the other hand, says that it was not true because of two reasons. First, orca whales live in deep water; but the strange noises heard in surface of water. Second, the Russian's submarines can detected it by their sonar.
Secondly, the reading and the lecture talk about giant squid. The reading argues that the sounds were caused by giant squid which difficult to detect by sonar. In contrast, the professor states that giant squid always lived in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean but it heard only between 1960s and 1980s.
Finally, the reading suggests that it can made by a military technology. Nevertheless, the lecturer says it cannot was possible because the sounds moved and changed the direction very quickly and there is no any technology that can transport as fast as it did.
