Overall, it is apparent that the number of girls and boys varied significantly in most sports. The similar percentages between two genders can only be seen in basketball and tennis.
Among girls, It was the most common to play netball, at 25%. This was followed by swimming with around 22%. Approximately 8% and 7% enjoyed playing tennis and basketball, respectively, which were slightly lower than the figures for boys. While around 5% of girls played soccer, nearly 5% participated athletics and about 3% liked Marital arts, the proportion of girls who took part in cricket was only 1%, making it the least popular of sports played. Finally, participation in other sports accounted for 10%.
By contrast, among boys, only 1% played netball. Top of the sport played was soccer, with nearly 25%. The boys who participated in swimming, cricket, Marital arts were seen high proportions at 13%, 11%, and 10%, respectively. Less popular sports were tennis, basketball, and athletics, from 5% to 9%. Other sports amounted to about 18%.
