The graphs below show the annual spending of a particular UK university from 1981 to 2001
The given pie charts well compare the proportion of expenditure by each category (furniture and equipment, teachers’ salary, other staff’s salary, resources, and insurance) in the British university in 3 different years (1981, 1991, and 2001). Overall, it is noticeable that the amount of money in teachers’ salary was considered the highest in mentioned years.
In detail, it can be explained that although the proportion of money spent in teachers’ salary fluctuated between 40% and 55%, it was accounted the highest throughout 20-year period. However, declining from 33% in 1981 to 23% in 1991, the percentage of expense in other staff’s salary dipped to 18% in 2001. Similarly, the proportion of resources also decreased by 5% from 1981 to 2001. On the other hand, the figure of insurance rose slightly from 2% to 8% two decades later. Finally, it is compelling that the figure of furniture and equipment dropped from 15% in 1981 to 7% in 1991 and then grew significantly to 24% in 2001.
