The table provides information about forested areas measured in millions of hectares in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America in the years 1990, 2000 and 2005.
Overall, Africa, North America, Oceania and South America Experienced a Downwards trend, while Asia And Europe showed an upwards trend during the period.
in 1990, the biggest forest area was in Europe and it was 989 million hectares followed by South America, Africa North America And Asia And they were 946, 749, 708 and 576 million of hectares, While Oceania was the least between the continents and scored 199 million.
in 2000 and 2005, there were an inclination in the forested land in Europe and it was 998 and 1001 million respectively, While Asia experienced some fluctuation and it was 570 million in 2000 and 584 million in 2005, moreover North America showed a similarity and it was 705 million hectares in 2000 and 2005 less by 3millions hectares from 1990.
Finally, Africa, Oceania and South America showed a declination during the period and reached 691, 197 and 882 million respectively.
