Dear Sir,
I am an avid reader of your newspaper and I am writing this letter to apprise you about the mistake that I caught in an article published in your newspaper.
Sir, in yesterday's newspaper in editorial page there was an article about Mr. Harjeet Singh captain of junior hockey team of our country. As I have personal relationship, so I read that article with great interest and enthusiasm, and I found some facts mentioned in that article were inapt and distorted. One such information was about his education, it was written that he has to drop out from the school due to dearth of finance but he never gave up his studies. Secondly, initially his family never supported him in his game and wanted their son to focus on studies but in article it was totally obverse.
As a responsible citizen I thought I should bring it into your cognizance so that such error should occur in future, specially in prestigious newspaper like yours. Hence, I would request you to kindly to write a short not of apology in paper for this fault and in future kindly get information from trusted and authentic resources.
Hope, you will a kind attention toward this issue.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
HS
